a few weeks ago, we took a looooong bike ride over the 59th street bridge, through central park, and up the west side to the george washington bridge, or more specifically to the little red lighthouse underneath the bridge. it’s the only lighthouse left on manhattan. a quick stop at fairway for a picnic on the way up makes for a nice little saturday; i highly recommend.
We were pretty excited to try these outhouses out, but they were locked up for the winter! The parking lot these were next to was perfect for marcus to do some donuts in the car and give me a little scare…
took the scenic route home from newport and stopped at the very freezing cold beach. even when it’s cold out i still get psyched to see the ocean…a true beach bunny at heart!
took this shot on the cliff walk in newport, rhode island. we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t freezing and i even enjoyed a little breather/nap on one of the cliffs while my shooting partner got artsy with his polaroid 100. the clouds are pretty, the sun is right and that little bit of purple streaking in the upper left hand corner suits me just fine.
best lunch spread ever, winter picnic style … jacuzzi-side. truffled salami, brie, espresso aged cheddar, beer and black peppercorn mustard, croissant and italian bread. ingenious use of a swiss army knife to boot.
